Situated in a spectacular location in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, this beautifully converted, pet friendly cottage was originally part of a steading close to the birthplace of Rob Roy McGregor, commonly known as Rob Roy, or alternatively Red MacGregor, a famous Scottish folk hero and outlaw of the early 18th Century, who is sometimes known as the Scottish Robin Hood. The cottage is ideal for couples and sits in a tranquil corner at the side of Loch Katrine (Glengyle) with views of the loch and surrounding hills of Ben Lomond, Ben Ledi and Ben Venue. This is the perfect location from which to absorb one of Scotland’s most picturesque areas. The cottage is perfect for couples, fishermen, walkers, cyclists or someone looking to get away from the hustle of everyday life. The loch is surrounded by a private road and offers a quiet environment to walk, see the fantastic wildlife (deer, polecats, red squirrels and wild goats), offering pitch black skies with no light pollution and stunning waterfalls.
Jacobite can be booked with Rob Roy (CC523176) to accommodate up to eight guests.
