The heart of Wales, a diverse landscape of wild mountains and fertile river plains, dotted with friendly towns and secluded hamlets. It’s the outstanding natural beauty of the countryside that draws nature lovers, walkers and cyclists staying in Powys. Red kites, Merlins and Peregrine falcons breed in the Cambrian Mountains, and at beautiful Lake Vyrnwy, one of the region’s loveliest man-made lakes, you’ll find a superb RSPB site as well as a huge range of activities, including water sports, climbing and quad biking. The wonderfully varied terrain of the Brecon Beacons National Park is criss-crossed by ancient tracks and lanes, perfect for pony trekking, and keen walkers will head to the Offa’s Dyke long distance path.History enthusiasts will be drawn to Powis Castle, a magnificent medieval fortress towering above its famous gardens and commanding glorious views over the valley. In the Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells, visitors can still sample the healing waters, and book lovers will be in heaven at Hay-on-Wye’s bookstores – there are more than 30 of them to explore.

I would, in fact I already have, recommended the park we stayed in to friends, in fact we are planning to take a short break there with them later in the year! I'm recommending this park to anyone due to its great positioning within the Brecon Beacons, its secluded nature, the beautiful views from our lodge, the cleanliness and high spec of the lodge we stayed in and, of course, the amazing private hot tub!! Not to mention the caretaker of the park being extremely helpful and friendly. Holiday was worth every penny and more.

What a great place to go for a wonderfull relaxing holiday,to wake to the sound of birdsong rather than traffic noise was great, secluded but not out in the wilds, with plenty to do in the surrounding area, perfect.

It was a lovely site, perfect for a romantic get away. Local shops, pubs and take aways only a short walk away. Swansea town 15 miles away and Brecon town 26 miles the other way. There is a waterfall just up the road, which was lovely but a bit of a climb to get to. Will definitely book there again but will book the cabin with the hot tub.
